Future Tenant is always looking for talented creatives of all disciplines to feature in our space.
Future Tenant believes strongly in paying all artists for their work. Compensation varies depending on the type of event, exhibition, or opportunity - for additional details, please check the information provided in the forms below, or inquire with Future Tenant staff.
SPOTLIGHT! is a special one-night event showcasing great local and emerging talent. On Saturday April 15th at 7:00PM the spotlight will turn to performers of theatre, spoken word, and slam poetry for Monologue Night. Performers will compete for votes from the audience and at the end of the night, the performer(s) with the greatest number of votes will win a $200 cash prize!

Future Tenant offers short-term artist residencies to artists of all disciplines. If selected for a Trespass residency, the artist or artists will be given keys to our space and free reign to use our tools and equipment while developing an original artistic work. A stipend of $250 is provided to aid resident artists in fully realizing their vision. The Trespass residency concludes with a presentation or performance of the produced work during the final weekend.
We currently have two Trespass residency slots available for the upcoming year:
- March 20th - April 2nd, 2017
- August 21st - September 3rd, 2017
Trespass residency applications are reviewed and selected on a rolling basis. Please complete and submit the proposal form below at your earliest convenience.
Future Tenant provides opportunities for emerging and experienced curators to develop and present an exhibition of their original design. If you have an idea for an exhibition that you would like to present at Future Tenant, please complete and submit the proposal form below.
Curator's proposals submitted between June 2016 and March 2017 will be added to Future Tenant's database, and then reviewed and selected in April 2017.
Future Tenant is always seeking performing artists of all kinds (musicians, vocalists, DJs, dancers, actors, etc), to provide entertainment and artistic engagement at events throughout the year.
We currently have several slots open for performing artists:
- Fall Fundraising Event (October 29th, 2016)
- Light Up Night (Date not yet announced, probably November 18th, 2016)
- First Night (December 31st, 2016)
- Gallery Crawl (Friday, April 21st, 2017)
- Spring Fundraising Event (Saturday, April 22nd, 2017)

Future Tenant seeks visual artists to exhibit original artwork each year. We accept both solo exhibition proposals and group exhibition proposals.
